Work with @ben to follow up with Ben Tolman on Guardian's manual pay-at-close confirmation process and identify whether it can be made more programmatic.
Ryan said Guardian had been following up manually on a backlog of orders from the previous six weeks and proposed an interim process where Guardian emails each brand office inbox to confirm whether pay at close is still the selected payment method on a given order. The group agreed this could work temporarily, but Ben Eberle pushed back that Attik should not need to do this manually in most cases.
Ben Eberle noted that completed inspections already send the completion hook and that the main legitimate edge case should be inspector-paid-directly orders where the pay-at-close order was not cancelled before the day-of-inspection cutoff. Ryan suggested taking the workflow back to Ben Tolman to understand what systems the Guardian callers actually have access to and whether their manual confirmation list can be replaced with a cleaner automated or system-driven process.
